Peak Hill Walk on the Jurassic Coast

Today Julie and I set out on what could be called in Australia a bush walk, a better description might be a Hill Climb but over here is called a Ramble.
We headed up from the beach to climb Peak Hill and then carry on towards Ladram Bay.
On the way we saw some amazing houses, some of them with thatched roofs, unlike the slate ones common where we are living. We also saw lots of wild flowers, some thick vegetation, some wonderful English agricultural land and amazing scenery.
A wonderful morning but the steep climb will catch up with Julie tomorrow.

In my Facebook post while we sat looking at the sheep farm pictured here, I used the phrase “green and pleasant land” from the hymn “Jerusalem” which seems most appropriate for the country side we have seen since leaving Bath.
